Affectionately known as Dr Reddy, he is the New Owner and Practice Principal of First Point Healthcare, where he leads with a clear vision for excellence in community healthcare. Under his leadership, Beaconsfield Family Medical Practice was proudly recognised as the RACGP Best Practice of the Year, 2024 (Tasmania). His leadership has shaped the clinic into a modern, inclusive, and dynamic practice dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care.
Dr Reddy is a dedicated and passionate General Practitioner with a broad scope of experience and a deep commitment to patient-centred care. Since relocating to Australia in 2018, he has worked across several cities—including Melbourne, Perth, and Hervey Bay—before settling in Launceston in March 2022. With extensive experience across general practice, aged care, emergency departments, general medicine, and Indigenous health clinics, Dr Reddy brings a compassionate and comprehensive approach to medicine.
Dr Reddy is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and holds specialist recognition from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
In his ongoing mission to enhance healthcare accessibility, Dr Reddy has thoughtfully expanded First Point Healthcare into a state-of-the-art facility featuring six consultation rooms and a three-bed treatment room .
Dr Sandhya Reddy Manchireddy brings warmth, expertise, and dedication to her role as a General Practitioner. Known for her gentle approach and genuine empathy, she is deeply appreciated for her ability to listen attentively and explain complex medical issues with clarity and compassion.
With special interests in women’s health, paediatrics, and preventative medicine, Dr Sandhya provides comprehensive, personalised care tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
She completed her Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine at Mamata Medical College in India, before gaining valuable clinical experience through her training at St John of God Midland Hospital.
Patients particularly value her thorough, unhurried approach and the welcoming, comfortable environment she creates—one where they feel truly heard, respected, and supported.
Dr Phillips was the principal GP at First Point Healthcare from 2007 to early 2025. With a commitment and dedication to all aspects of General Practice, Dr Jehan Phillips is the perfect family practitioner for you and your loved ones.

Dr Bianca Perera joined First Point Healthcare in 2012 and enjoys consulting with patients in all aspects of General Practice. Dr Perera also enjoys working with patients who have been injured at work, and is committed to providing comprehensive care.
Dr Simran is a warm and experienced GP with over a decade of practice across India and Australia. She offers thoughtful, patient-focused care with a modern and compassionate approach.

Renowned for her precision, Dr Simran has excellent surgical skills and refined hand–eye coordination. She has a strong eye for aesthetics. Her love of drawing and painting reflects her attention to detail—both artistically and clinically.
Fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi, Dr Simran delivers culturally sensitive care and is known for her calm, reassuring manner. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, family time, food exploration and creative art.
Dr. Abiola is a highly experienced and compassionate General Practitioner dedicated to delivering holistic, patient-centred care. With over 5 years of clinical experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge and a calm, approachable manner to every consultation. Dr. Abiola completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in Nigeria and later earned his Master of Public Health (MPH) at the University of New South, Australia.
Dr. Abiola has a strong commitment to preventative medicine and chronic disease management, with particular interest in women’s health, paediatrics, and aged care. He works closely with patients to develop personalized care plans that address both immediate health concerns and long-term wellbeing. His approach is evidence-based, yet empathetic—focusing on clear communication, active listening, and building trust with every individual he treats.
Throughout his career, Dr. Abiola has worked across a range of urban and rural healthcare settings in Australia, allowing him to develop a deep understanding of the diverse needs of different communities. He remains actively involved in continuing professional development and regularly participates in medical education and training programs to stay at the forefront of General Practice.
Dr Aruna ( “Dr.RON” ) Suraweera Arachchige graduated from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 2008. He completed his first fellowship in Emergency Medicine in 2021 at National Hospital, Kandy and University Hospital Geelong, Victoria during 2018 to 2020.
He changed his career plans due to family needs and migrated to Tasmania in 2021. He worked in Scottsdale as a GP as well as the visiting medical officer to Northeast Soldiers Memorial Hospital for 4 years while completing his GP fellowship. Dr Suraweera Arachchige’s professional interests are broad but he has special interest and skill in rural and remote medicine, emergency medicine, chronic health disease, and skin conditions. Other areas of interest are men’s health, women’s health, Paediatrics and musculoskeletal medicine. Beyond his medical endeavors, he enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, reading, cinematography and playing cricket.
Dr Chetan Kumar Panja (fondly known as “Dr Panja”) is a dedicated and compassionate GP with over 9 years of experience practicing in India before relocating to Australia. He brings a wide-ranging expertise in General Practice and has also served as a Resident Medical Officer in the General Medicine Department of a hospital.
Since 2024, he has been providing care at our sister clinic, Beaconsfield Family Medical Practice, where he is highly regarded and well-liked by his patients. He will now also be working at First Point Healthcare for two days per week, delivering quality care across both clinics.

After completing schooling in Launceston, Amelia moved interstate to complete a combined degree of Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Dietetic Practice at La Trobe University in Victoria. She has been working back in Tasmania in various clinics for the past 7 years and is interested in a wide variety of nutrition-related conditions. Her special interests include heart health, diabetes, weight management and bariatric surgery. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, running and basketball. Amelia is available Fortnightly on Fridays from 9 am to 5.30 pm for ongoing care and one-on-one consultations. She welcomes private patients and those with a Medicare referral.
Simranjeet Kaur (known as Sim) is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with over a decade of experience in exercise-based rehabilitation. Since 2012, she has supported more than 10,000 clients in improving mobility, strength, and overall health, guided by her philosophy that
exercise is medicine.
Sim completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy in India and a Master’s in Exercise Rehabilitation from Victoria University, Melbourne. She is currently advancing her expertise by undertaking a Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Tasmania.
At First Point Healthcare, Sim provides tailored exercise physiology services for a wide range of conditions, working closely with patients to support recovery, prevent injury, and promote long-term wellbeing.
